Premarital Counselling at Hope pairs you with a married mentor couple to discuss practical marriage topics from a biblical perspective. This is available to members of Hope Bible Church. During your engagement, the four of you will meet privately 8-10 times over the course of 5-6 months. Once married, you and your spouse will meet with your mentoring couple 1-2 more times. You'll also be invited to join a class for newlyweds throughout your first year of marriage. Our Premarital Counselling Program costs $125 per couple and includes all materials provided. It is a requirement for any wedding officiated by a Hope Hamilton/Oakville Pastor.
Our Soul Care class "Thinking About Marriage?" is available to everyone. This class is not a replacement for Premarital Counselling but is an excellent first step for anyone who is considering marriage.
Premarital Counselling is only available to members of Hope Bible Church. At least one person must be a member. To begin the process, email soulcare@hopehamilton.ca, and a team member will reach out to you.
You will be given registration forms. Once both of your registration forms have been received, here's what you can expect:
1. A call or email from our Soul Care team to schedule an initial meeting.
2. Upon approval from the interviewing Soul Care member, you'll be placed with your mentor couple.
